  • Live, Virtual Group Exercise Classes

    Through our partnership with UVA Intramural-Recreational Sports (IM-Rec), Hoos Well offers virtual and in-person drop-in classes and enrollment-based instructional programs. Formats include Couch to 5K, PowerStrength, TRX Fusion, Running & Racing, and Core & Restore Yoga Flow. All drop-in classes and instructional programs are free for employees and spouses enrolled in the UVA Health Plan and UPG Anthem Health Plan.

  • Physical activity Journeys in the Hoos Well portal

    UVA employees and spouses on the UVA Health Plan or UPG Anthem Health Plan can participate in the many Journeys within the Hoos Well portal that help you remain physically active.

  • WW - 'Wellness that Works' (formerly Weight Watchers)

    You, your spouse, and your adult dependents get special pricing on WW (formerly “Weight Watchers”). This program helps you lose weight, eat better, and move more with science-based programs, tools, and experiences that work to fit your life while offering accountability to your goals. You can enroll in “WW Digital” to use the program’s interactive and innovative new tools and resources.

Resources to help you manage stress, cope and maintain connection.

  • Healthy Minds @Work

    Healthy Minds @Work is an evidence-based, customizable program designed to fit easily into your daily life through a mobile app with podcast-style lessons and guided meditations. You'll learn to train your mind to be calm & focused, strengthen interpersonal relationships, decrease stress & emotional reactivity, and learn skills to thrive in challenging moments. 70% of users report significantly lower depression, anxiety, and stress. The program kicks off with a 30-day reward-eligible challenge. UVA employees and their spouses on the UVA or UPG Health Plans may participate!

  • Online mindfulness platform and virtual community

    Employees and spouses enrolled in the UVA or UPG Health Plan can receive free access to eM Life, an online mindfulness platform that can be applied to everyday life and chronic conditions to promote health, happiness, stress management and self-care. eM Life includes daily interactive classes, extensive on-demand content, an expert-led community to gain support and purpose, and easy accessibility through the web or mobile app (iOS and Android).

  • Virtual support for individuals and teams

  • Confidential therapy through Teladoc

    Teladoc, a new service available to UVA employees through Aetna, provides confidential therapy quickly and conveniently. Teladoc's licensed therapists are available seven days a week. You can choose your therapist, pick a time that is convenient for you, and connect by phone, web, or mobile app.
