As we venture into a new and hopefully very different new year, we could all use a little boost to our motivation to enhance our overall wellbeing! About the Presenters

Beth Frackleton, M. Ed., BSN, BS, RN, NBC-HWC, CHWC, provides health and wellness coaching to assist UVA team members and their families manage chronic health conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, morbid obesity as well as stress management with the goal of improving the person’s health and well-being.  This service is a UVA Health System sponsored benefit for UVA team members (UVA HS, Academic, Foundation, UPG, etc.). There are no associated costs. As WorkMed’s  Chronic Care Coach (CCC) Beth Frackleton triages all potential clients, provides health and wellness coaching and facilitates referrals to other resources including, but not limited to: Hoo’s Well, IM-Rec, Nutrition Services, FEAP as well as the full spectrum of Health System resources. The ultimate goal of this service is to help improve the health and wellness of our University community by assisting team members and their family to be as healthy as they can be.

Mary Sherman, LCSW, CEAP is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional with over 20 years of experience.  She has worked with the University of Virginia Faculty and Employee Assistance Program since 1996.  She obtained her Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and is additionally trained as a professional coach. She has expertise helping employees improve communication skills, balance work and home, manage stress, and increase happiness.  She is a dynamic and engaging presenter on a variety of positive practices designed to enhance people’s overall well-being.
