UVA Health Plan Covers Cost of At-Home COVID-19 Tests

Effective January 15, 2022, the UVA Health Plan will cover up to eight at-home FDA-approved COVID-19 diagnosis tests or over-the-counter (OTC) COVID-19 tests per 30 days (or per month) for plan members absent involvement of a health care provider and without cost sharing.

The UVA Health Plan will limit reimbursement to the lesser of $12 per test or the actual price (whichever is lower).
