The 2026 Give Where You Live fall fundraising campaign is underway

University of Virginia employees have a long, proud history of supporting local nonprofits to strengthen the communities in our region. This UVA tradition continues with UVA’s new 'Give Where You Live' fall fundraising campaign, running from September 16 to December 18. The University is partnering with United Way of Greater Charlottesville, combining United Way’s 80 years of experience in local fundraising with UVA’s deep commitment to the place we call home.

Pick your favorite nonprofits and pledge your support using payroll deduction or make a one-time donation with a credit or debit card. Every dollar of your pledge or donation contributed through United Way will go to the participating nonprofit of your choice. People in our communities depend on local nonprofits every day. Thanks to 'Give Where You Live' local nonprofits can depend on the generosity of Hoos.
