***For University Medical Center only - a new hybrid Orientation will launch for University Medical Center new hires on Monday, May 13. More information will be sent via email to all University Medical Center managers. Please stay tuned for web updates and look for emails from UVA HR beginning Monday, April 29.***

All new team members are required to complete the onboarding process specific to their roles. This UVA Health New Hire Portal details next steps to help you complete these requirements. Be sure to review the sections below – Before You Arrive, Your Orientation Day, More Training, and Benefits & Retirement Elections – to complete action items and to become familiar with all that we offer in training, benefits, perks, and rewards.

  • Before You Arrive

  • UVA Health Orientation

    The following team members attend UVA Health Day One Orientation live virtual Zoom Onboarding Session: University Medical Center staff and International Nurses. All UVA Health new hires will receive a Workday learning module that is entitled “Welcome to UVA Health.”

  • Additional Orientation and Training

    Not everyone attends Orientation to Patient Care (OPC), Epic Clinical Training, or Epic Revenue Cycle Training. Each component is created for special work groups. Attendance and participation in the components will depend on your new role. If you are required to attend additional training of any kind, you will receive email notification on next steps.
