Think about how you and your family have used your health, dental, vision, and other benefits this year. This can help you decide what may work best for 2027.

Note: Beginning January 1, 2027, MetLife will become UVA's new administrator for life insurance benefits and related disability and leave programs, and there are special opportunities related to increased supplemental coverage during Open Enrollment.

Update Your Information in Workday

Log in to Workday and confirm that your home address, phone number, and dependent information are correct.

• If you’re adding a new dependent during Open Enrollment, review the dependent documentation requirements now so you’re prepared when Open Enrollment begins.

Review Dependent Eligibility and Required Documentation

Check and Spend Your FSA Balance

If you have a Flexible Spending Account, review your balance in Fidelity and make a plan for any remaining funds. You can also browse eligible expenses at the Online FSA Store .

If you are planning to enroll in the Health Savings option for 2027, review the FSA rules now so you know what you may need to use before the end of the year.

Use Your Benefits

Consider whether you are due for preventive health, dental, or vision care. UVA Health and Academic Division health plan members can also use UVA Health Employee Primary Care for preventive, urgent, and non-urgent care.

Notice of Creditable Coverage

We are required to provide you with an annual Medicare Part D Notice of Creditable Coverage for your prescription drug coverage. The 2027 UVA Health Plans are creditable and expected to pay as much as standard Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
