UVA_HRFaculty & Staff Salary Studies Information
The University of Virginia has been undertaking salary studies for both faculty and staff. Information on the faculty study is below. The staff study is under development.
UVA is committed to responsible and competitive compensation practices that enable us to recruit and retain an outstanding workforce. We value the contributions of our employees and want to compensate them appropriately. The purpose of these studies is to review and assess pay practices across the Academic Division. These types of studies are undertaken periodically by large organizations as part of best practice compensation oversight. In collaboration with the University Counsel’s office, the University has engaged outside firms with expertise in higher education compensation to conduct both the faculty and staff salary studies.
Faculty and staff are the core of our mission and sustainability as a “great and good” institution. This work helps to ensure that we maintain fair compensation practices.
