Grounds for Success Orientation

Grounds For Success: Academic Employee Orientation

Grounds for Success "GFS" New Academic Employee Orientation (and the optional afternoon lunch and tour) is NOT currently being held in-person.

Instead, orientation has been modified and will be delivered as a virtual, asynchronous program.

There is NO Zoom or In-Person orientation session to attend.

If you are a new hire or a manager or a new hire scheduled to attend on that date, please be aware that instructions will be sent in advance of the participant's originally scheduled session date.

This is an unusual time, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these circumstances. Please know, however, that we are excited to welcome our newest hires to UVA!

If you have questions, please email

You may access the New Hire Resources here.
