Below you will find the messages you will hear when you call the Weather Line, see when you visit the University’s Web site, or see and hear on the television or radio in the event of inclement weather or other events.
There are essentially 3 types of messages:
Those for normal operations (including when inclement weather is expected but has not yet resulted in a schedule modification);
Those for delays in opening
Those for occasions when only designated employees should report to work
Hot Line Messages
The Hot Line is 434.924.7669 (formerly known as the weather line or SNOW line). Press “1” for the Academic Division and “2” for the Medical Center.

Designated Academic Division employees report as scheduled by your supervisor, including designated School of Medicine employees who support clinical operations and critical research.
Non-designated employees may be approved for up to a two hour grace period.
