To prepare for an important system update related to Career Journeys in Workday happening the weekend of September 12, the UVA HR team asks that you submit the following HR Workday process actions for all employee types and have them fully approved by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025:
- Student Hires
- Change Job
- Hire a New Employee
- Add a Job to an employee record
- Switch Primary Job
- Edit Position
- Request Compensation Change
- Process Terminations
- Create Job Requisitions
To ensure a smooth system transition, all Workday requests related to employees and positions listed above that are not approved by 12:00p.m. on Friday, September 12 will be automatically canceled and need to be re-entered starting Monday, September 15 at 8:00a.m. when regular system functionality resumes.
