Policy Update: HRM-018: Performance Management for University Staff Employees
The following changes and revisions have been made to policy HRM-018: Performance Management for University Staff Employees effective August 01, 2021:
- Added definition for Human Resources Management System (HRIS).
- Replaced Career Development Plan with Career Conversations and new Career Conversations Guide & Worksheet.
- Changed the requirement that supervisors must complete a performance review for an employee before the employee transfers position. Performance reviews are completed by the manager of record in the HRIS system when the evaluation is submitted by the employee and supervisors can solicit feedback from other managers to complete the review.
- Added recommendation for supervisors to hold regular (monthly) one-on-one performance conversations with employees.
