Remember to Review Your UVA 2025 Benefits Elections in Workday
Happy New Year!
It’s a new year, which, for many of you, means new benefits elections. Whether you’ve made changes or kept many of your benefits the same, UVA Human Resources encourages you to confirm the health plan option, dental and vision options, and FSA and dependent daycare reimbursement account employee contributions that you chose during Open Enrollment.
Unless you experience a qualified life event like having a baby or getting married, you can ONLY make changes to those benefits during Open Enrollment. All other benefits can be changed anytime, including Health Savings Account, retirement, and life insurance.
Benefits Enrollment Checklist
Here's your first-of-the-year benefits enrollment checklist:
- Are your deductions correct? Be sure to consider this for your medical, dental, and vision plans.
- Do these plans line up with what you chose during Open Enrollment?
- Have you listed the dependents you want to cover for 2025?

Checking Paychecks for Proper Benefits Elections
Use Workday, UVA’s HR platform, to ensure that your paycheck correctly reflects your benefits elections:
- Review your past paychecks: Navigate to Workday>Benefits and Pay Hub>View Most Recent Pay
- Check your benefits enrollment: Navigate to Workday>Benefits and Pay Hub>View Benefits Details
