Coming Soon: HR Chatbot


The new UVA HR Chatbot is almost here! The chatbot is an artificial intelligence (AI) interface located on the HR website that will provide all users with the information you seek on demand.

The chatbot will be available starting early June to help UVA employees, prospective employees, and anyone who visits the HR website and will replace the current chat function on the HR website.

The benefits of the HR Chatbot for UVA employees include:

  • Speed: Get your questions answered immediately – no waiting.
  • Access: Information is available all the time, whenever you want it - 24/7/365.
  • Service: Connect with a live agent if you need more information or wish to discuss in person.
  • Convenience: If it's after business hours and the bot is not able to answer your question, leave your question with the bot and it will send it to an inquiry agent who will answer it for you the following business day. 

The chatbot will not replace HR Solution Center live inquiry agents. You can always connect directly through AskHR@virginia.edu or by telephone, and employees will continue to have the same high level of personal service and access as before. In fact, adding the chatbot to answer some questions allows inquiry agents more valuable time to spend assisting customers with more complex issues.
