DEI news this week

This week there were two days of recognition that are important to share with our HR family. Both the LBGTQ+ Center Awareness Day & the B.R.A. (Breast Cancer Awareness) Day were recognized on Wednesday, October 19. UVA & the Charlottesville Community have dedicated resources for you and those in your circle focused on each area:

• UVA - LGBTQ Student Services and LGBTQ+ Center is packed with resources. UVA has been ranked in the top 10 of schools in the nation welcoming LBGTQ+ students.
• Charlottesville - PFlAG Blue Ridge is a multi-county resource of parents, families, friends, and allies uniting with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender loved ones to promote support, education, and advocacy.
• UVA – The UVA Breast Care Center launched in October, 2020.  You can find all kinds of resources focused on breast care right here!
