"Grounds for Success" Academic New Hire Orientation Begins Live Zoom Sessions

Grounds for Success Academic New Hire Orientation will begin offering a live Zoom session for new hires on Monday, August 30. The session will then be held every other Monday from 9:00 - 10:30 am.

Recruiters will continue to schedule new hires for the session. The Orientation team will send information to new hires and their managers via email, prior to the scheduled GFS session. Information provided includes a link to the Zoom program, as well as a Remote Onboarding Guide, which details how to complete orientation and onboarding tasks remotely. New hires will also be assigned several Workday learning modules.

The program, led by Rachel Parsley and Jody Knowles of the Learning and Development team, provides a welcoming introduction to UVA, as well as a high-level overview of our mission, vision, values, strategic plan, culture, Workday and technology, and next steps for new hires.
