Hoos Living It: Integrating Nutrition & Activity

If you’re thinking about what fall programs to join as the summer settles down and you're feeling motivated to experience impactful change, keep reading!

Hoos Well and the UVA Aetna Health Plan are offering Hoos Living It (HLI): Integrating Nutrition & Activity. This program aims to increase your confidence in making healthy decisions through five months of fitness and nutrition classes.  

Delivered by the Nutrition Counseling Center and IM Rec, HLI is a wellness and weight loss program targeted to get you making healthier nutrition and activity choices for the rest of your life.

Interested participants must attend a free information session to learn more:

Thursday September 5th or Wednesday 11th
5:30 – 6:30pm
Aquatic and Fitness Center

In order to be considered for the program you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an employee or spouse enrolled in a UVA Aetna health plan
  • Attend one of the information sessions on Sept 5 or 11
  • Have a body mass index of 30-42
  • Complete a physician clearance form
  • Complete lab work
  • Pay a $150 deposit, which can be earned back for completing specific goals
