Spend Your FSA by December 31, 2020

If you recently enrolled in UVA’s Basic Health option for 2021 for the first time and are currently enrolled in a 2020 Full FSA, you must deplete all money in your Full FSA by December 31, 2020. Otherwise, your Health Savings Account (HSA) -- available only to Basic Health participants -- cannot be opened at Chard Snyder and you will have to wait until April 1, 2021 for your HSA to be opened and receive employer and/or employee contributions. In addition, you will not be able to use HSA funds to pay for eligible medical services provided prior to April 1, 2021.
