UVA Health New Manager Orientation is Live!

Learning to Lead @UVA Health: New Manager Orientationl launched Monday, July 26, 2022. The program, designed by members of the Learning & Development Team in collaboration with UVA Health leadership, management, and staff, focuses on knowledge and resources for new UVA Health people managers who are hired from outside the organization or promoted from within.

The course includes the following sessions: Welcome and Connect, Develop Resource Knowledge, Build Relationships, Lead Teams, and Inspire Others. The final session will provide next steps, including information about their own professional development and an introduction to the next leadership program, Tools to Lead.

New or promoted managers from January - June 2021 were be provided an opportunity to attend the inaugural program in July. After that time, new managers are invited to participate in the program, held on the afternoon of UVA Health Orientation.
