Exciting Changes to UVA Health University Medical Center Education Benefits

We are excited to announce new changes to the Education Benefit program beginning January 1, 2023 for UVA Health University Medical Center team members:  

• All benefits-eligible team members will have equal access to up to $5,250 (the IRS pre-tax limit) per calendar year for the course benefit. 

• You can receive money for education assistance up front or as a reimbursement. 

• Program enrollment and payroll procedures will move to Workday. 

• The annual Nursing Scholarship will be included in the IRS pre-tax limit of $5,250 with the implementation of Medical Center education benefits in Workday.

Come to one of the Education Benefit Labs offered at UVA Human Resources and Medical Center Dining Conference Room in January to see a walk-through of the new education benefits process. Dates for the labs are:
