HR Strategy


The HR Strategy service area optimizes HR service delivery by providing top-tier HR data and analytics, communications and marketing, and international student support to our partners across Grounds. The team performs expert project management and continuous improvement practices, HR financial operations, and multimedia services, so that the HR organization can do its best work.

People Data & Analytics

People Data & Analytics supports all HR services with technology support, including configuration access and issue resolutions, for all HR functional areas and services. The team works with HR data, building reports and other solutions for the University and UVA Health that drive business decisions and improve outcomes.

Communications & Marketing

HR Communications & Marketing supports the UVA community by using best practice communications techniques providing effective ways for faculty, staff, and team members to receive and clearly understand important HR information. We also develop and implement a range of recruitment marketing programs in support of UVA Recruiting in engaging potential candidates and driving applications.

    Marketing:

    • Provide data and analytics reporting to help leaders focus on most effective recruiting campaigns

Business Operations

The Business Operations team provides financial and operational services to the HR team o that HR can provide best-in-class services to the UVA community. This includes accounting and transactional support and account reconciliations, procurement services and statements of that includes all telephony services.

Continuous Improvement & Project Management

The Continuous Improvement & Project Management team helps UVA HR and the University achieve better results and further UVA’s impact by establishing and implementing project management best practices that encourage collaboration, standardization, and improvement in project results. The team focuses on continuous improvement by gathering feedback from clients on project results, analyzing feedback, and incorporating into future programs.

Immigration Services provides information to international employees as they navigate the process of working at UVA and ensures that the University complies with all applicable federal and state laws and University policies and procedures as they relate to immigration.

The Senior Learning and Multimedia Consultant is a strategic content development partner to several teams within UVA HR. This role currently supports UVA HR’s priority initiatives by creating training plans, instructional materials, and multimedia content.
