Workday Learning Required Training


Whether you are a new employee/team member joining UVA or UVA Health, there are regulatory requirements to successfully complete courses and programs in Workday Learning.

Learning content you are required to complete will be assigned to you based on your position(s) and will appear on your 'Required for You' slider. You will receive an email, as well as a Workday Notification, for each assignment. It is important to read these emails in their entirety and successfully complete the assignment by the due date. Click the (+) symbol on each accordion to learn more about the requirements.

Academic

Compliance Monitoring and Reporting

Unit leadership (e.g., Manager/Supervisor, ANM, NEC, or designee) is responsible for running Workday Learning-related reports to determine and ensure compliance with required training.

Some of the learning content assignments in Workday have a reminder(s) set up to notify the team member before, on, and/or after the assigned due date. The reminder(s) can also include the worker's direct manager(s) CC'd to encourage their team member to complete the assignment. The Mandatory Learning Programs assigned by HR via Workday CC the direct manager(s) on the overdue reminder (1 day after the due date) if the team member has not completed the program by the assigned due date.

The learning content also includes the assigned due date on the image in the Learning application that shows as 'Overdue' if they do not complete the learning content by the assigned due date. The learning content will remain on the team member's 'Required for You' slider (or on their 'Required Learning' report in Workday until it is completed successfully.
