Changes Explained. Value Made Clear.
Health care costs and employee premiums are rising in 2027, but UVA is committed to helping employees manage those increases by continuing to cover the majority of the increase.
We know that affordable health care is important to you and your family. While employee premiums will increase in 2027, UVA will continue to share in the cost of coverage to help ensure employees have access to comprehensive, high-quality benefits. Our goal is to balance the rising cost of health care while maintaining strong coverage options for employees.
Health Savings Plan members also receive an annual UVA contribution to their Health Savings Account (HSA): $1,000 for self-only coverage or $1,500 for family coverage, helping offset eligible health care expenses throughout the year.
