Health care costs and employee premiums are rising for 2027, and UVA is taking on most of the increase. Depending on your plan and coverage level, UVA will cover as much as 97% of the increase.

While Health Savings members will see a modestly larger premium increase in 2027, Health Savings continues to offer UVA’s lowest monthly premiums. Health Savings members also receive an annual UVA contribution to their HSA—$1,000 for self-only coverage or $1,500 for family coverage, to help pay for eligible health care expenses throughout the year.
